Friday Night Quartet Contest

After arriving at the Renaissance Inn and registering for the Rally, we gathered for a buffet dinner followed by the random quartet draw.  But RANDOM at an eXtreme Quartetting event is different than random at other barbershop contests.  At the Lone Star Harmony Brigade, we randomly selected one man from each part to form quartets and assigned them one random song to sing in the contest.    

Here are the quartets that competed in the first round on on Friday March 3. Eight quartets advanced to the Finals competition held Saturday March 4.

Meet our judges!

We were honored to have three of the 1973 International Gold Medal Champions, The Dealers Choice with us all weekend.  Al Kvanil- Tenor, William Thornton- Lead and Gary Parker- Bass.  We worked these guys hard!  Three contest rounds plus the show on Saturday. What an incredible experience it was to have Hero's Among Us!
